Compare like with like
Use the same hotel and room category, check in and check out dates, number of guests and sleeping arrangement. Compare equivalent breakfast, cancellation and payment conditions. Include mandatory taxes and fees in both totals. A cheaper room with stricter terms is not proof that an equivalent room has been discounted.
Use an available public reference price
The reference should be a publicly bookable rate available when the offer is prepared, not an invented rack rate or a price for another season. Keep the source and time of the comparison. Member only, loyalty, app only or restricted eligibility rates need to be identified and must not be silently mixed with unrestricted public rates.
Read the saving in money as well as percent
If an equivalent public stay costs USD 200 and a personal offer is USD 150, the saving is USD 50, or 25%. Divide the difference by the public total to calculate the percentage. A large percentage by itself does not tell you whether breakfast, the room or the terms suit your trip.
What this requirement does and does not promise
This is a participation requirement for hotel offers. It is not a guarantee that every hotel will respond, that a room will remain available indefinitely or that a price will beat every restricted promotion on the internet. The hotel must confirm availability and the reservation.
If you spot a comparison problem
Before accepting, send the offer details and the comparable public rate to our contact address. Include dates, guests, room type, meals, cancellation, taxes, currency and the time checked. Do not send card details or passwords. Public rates can change, so an equivalent rate and timestamp matter.

Questions & answers
Does no guest booking fee mean hotels pay no fees?
No. The guest fee policy and the hotel’s commercial agreement are separate. Hotel charges, if any, must be set out in the partner agreement.
Do the example cards prove a live saving?
No. Homepage prices, reference rates, hotel categories and photos are illustrative. A live saving requires an actual hotel offer and a comparable public rate.
